Digital presentation vs Physical presentation
Based on previous experiences, I've found that the easiest and most accessible way of presenting is in a digital format, through the likes of a blog or power point. Everything can be found in one place, allowing for greater organisation and making the editing process far easier. A blog also seems more suitable specifically in relation to film, as videos and screen-grabs can easily be embedded and annotated, something which could not be done using a physical format. Although presenting work digitally may hinder any potential creativity in the aesthetics of my presentation, I think the simplistic nature of a blog will save any unnecessary time spent trying to make it "look nice", something I would certainly fall victim to had I chosen to work physically. The clearest advantage for me however is the fact I can go back and edit previous pieces of work as I go, without having to over start again and print out an entirely new copy.
However, presenting digitally still has its disadvantages. Unlike physical presentation, the need for an internet connection doesn’t make it completely accessible and saving errors could occur, meaning a potentially large amount of work could be lost.Although presenting my work physically will greater freedom in relation to the aesthetics of my blog, I generally find it too messy and from previous experiences, with all the different folders and pieces of paper mean there is a greater risk of my work being damaged or lost.
